Business Intelligence Consultant – Remote (Excel)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Consultant to design, develop, and maintain Excel‑based dashboards and reports for a global technology client. This remote contract role focuses on translating business requirements into functional, automated Excel solutions that enable data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build interactive Excel dashboards using pivot tables, charts, slicers, and advanced formulas.
• Develop automated workflows with macros and VBA to streamline data processing and analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, refine, and document reporting requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across all Excel models and reports.
• Provide training and ongoing support to end‑users on Excel tools and functionalities.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret business data and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to non‑technical audiences.
• Attention to detail to deliver error‑free, high‑quality reports.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, SUMIFS, data validation)
• Pivot tables and charting
• Excel macros and VBA programming
• Familiarity with data sources such as SQL databases, CSV files, or ERP systems
