Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will be based on‑site in Lekki and will drive growth for Joft Recruit by identifying new client opportunities and nurturing existing relationships. You will act as the first point of contact for prospective employers, presenting the firm’s recruitment and HR consulting services and supporting the transition from sales to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Research market trends, competitors and client needs to generate qualified leads.
• Maintain and update a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools.
• Conduct outreach through calls, meetings and presentations to promote Joft Recruit’s services.
• Prepare proposals, assist in contract negotiations and coordinate hand‑over to recruitment teams.
• Track and report on business development activities, ensuring accurate performance metrics.
• Contribute ideas to improve client retention and service expansion.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management, preferably within recruitment, HR consulting or professional services.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret market data and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement and internal collaboration.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
