Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will identify and pursue new opportunities across engineering, construction and related sectors, building strong client and partner relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in engineering, construction and related sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to analyse industry trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations and reports.
• Support the development and execution of strategic growth plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align business development activities with project delivery.
• Represent the company at meetings, conferences and industry events.
• Track and report on business development performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in business development, preferably within engineering, construction or technical industries.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Excellent analytical and research abilities.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with business productivity tools.
