Business Development Manager – Paper Packaging

About the role

ECS FoodPack, a leading Nigerian manufacturer of paper‑based food service packaging, is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the expansion of its paper bag and food box lines. You will own revenue targets, build a high‑value B2B pipeline, and position the company as a preferred local alternative to imported packaging.

Key responsibilities

• Own and achieve annual revenue targets across cups, paper bags, and food packaging boxes.
• Develop and manage a robust B2B sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and weekly performance reporting.
• Identify and close new business opportunities in QSRs, hospitality, bakeries, catering, and food manufacturing.
• Lead market penetration strategies for paper bags and food boxes, targeting restaurant chains, hotels, and fast‑casual brands.
• Retain and grow existing accounts, uncovering upsell opportunities with procurement and operations teams.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage account managers and field sales representatives, enforcing CRM discipline and territory structures.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and sustainability policies, providing insights to product development.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of proven B2B sales experience in Nigeria.
• Background in packaging, FMCG, food service supply, printing, or industrial products.
• Track record of exceeding revenue targets and opening new markets or product categories.
• Experience leading or building a sales team.

Required skills

• Strong commercial acumen with pricing and margin negotiation experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation abilities.
• Deep understanding of the Nigerian packaging and distribution market.
