Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will work on‑site in Port Harcourt, driving growth for Gloome Marine Consulting within the marine and offshore sectors. You will identify new opportunities, build client relationships, and help expand the firm’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Research target markets and analyse industry trends to uncover business opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and sales collateral.
• Generate leads, manage the sales pipeline, and negotiate contracts.
• Collaborate with technical and consulting teams to align services with client needs.
• Track performance against targets and provide regular market feedback to leadership.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking activities to enhance brand visibility.

Required profile

• Strong business development and sales capabilities, including lead generation and negotiation.
• Experience in client relationship management and stakeholder engagement, preferably in consulting or marine‑related industries.
• Ability to conduct market research and develop growth strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Marine Studies, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
