Business Development Manager

About the role

Kenex Konsults International is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth across corporate, hospitality, education, healthcare and event sectors in Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region. You will lead sales initiatives, build client relationships and shape market strategy for our catering services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
• Generate leads through networking, cold calling, digital platforms and industry events.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and catering proposals.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service agreements.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, conducting regular visits and upselling where appropriate.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer preferences to inform service expansion.
• Prepare quotations, tenders and respond to RFPs/ITTs.
• Track sales performance, update CRM systems and produce regular business development reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales or marketing, preferably within catering, hospitality or event management.
• Proven record of achieving sales targets and securing high‑value contracts.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
• Experience with CRM tools and sales pipeline management.
• Excellent presentation and proposal writing skills.
