Business Development Executive

About the role

Carbolis Energies, a multidisciplinary energy solutions company offering engineering, procurement, construction, operations and maintenance, management, training, manpower development and supply, and logistics, is hiring a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive in Nigeria. The person will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and manage a robust pipeline and support strategic growth initiatives across the company's services.

Key responsibilities

• Research target markets and generate and qualify leads.
• Prepare proposals and participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to align service offerings with client needs and maintain strong account relationships.
• Ensure timely follow-up on opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends and contribute to sales forecasts and reports.
• Represent the company at relevant events and stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated skills in new business development and lead generation, with experience building a sustainable sales pipeline.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
• Familiarity with the Nigerian energy market and regulatory environment, and willingness to travel within Nigeria as required.

Required skills

• Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial frameworks, preferably in the energy, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present complex solutions to diverse stakeholders.
• Account management, including relationship building, client retention and post-sale support.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating with technical, operations and finance stakeholders.
• Analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a results-focused and ethical approach.
