Business Development Assistant

About the role

Western Point Energy Services Limited is looking for a motivated Business Development Assistant to help drive growth across Nigeria. You will support the sales team by identifying new opportunities, researching markets, and maintaining client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in identifying new business opportunities and potential clients.
• Conduct market research to spot trends, competitors and growth areas.
• Support lead generation activities and keep prospect databases up‑to‑date.
• Communicate with prospects and existing clients to understand their needs.
• Help prepare proposals, presentations and business reports.
• Support client meetings, follow‑ups and relationship management.
• Track business development activities and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with sales pipeline management and reporting.
• Support partnership outreach and relationship‑building initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer experience and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales or marketing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to conduct research and analyse market information.
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Experience with CRM platforms and sales tools.
