Business Adviser – Strategy & Growth

About the role

iPayBTC is a Bitcoin‑focused fintech building financial services across Africa. The Business Adviser will support the CEO and leadership team in shaping strategy, driving revenue growth, and preparing the company for sustainable scale.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a full business assessment covering product, market, operations, financials and organisational structure, and develop a 12‑24 month strategic roadmap.
• Evaluate existing revenue streams, identify new opportunities, and advise on customer acquisition, retention and partnership development.
• Review company structure and leadership effectiveness, define accountability frameworks, and coach senior managers to improve decision‑making.
• Assess funding requirements, refine the financial model, prepare investor materials and support fundraising and strategic partner introductions.
• Establish executive operating rhythms, improve KPI and performance‑management systems, and support board and advisory governance.
• Identify strategic partnerships and expansion opportunities across African markets and assist in commercial negotiations.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in fintech, financial services, startups or technology companies.
• Previous senior roles such as Founder, CEO, COO, CRO, Strategy Executive or Investor.
• Proven track record scaling a startup from early to growth stage.
• Hands‑on experience with fundraising and investor relations.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in African markets.
