Brand & Communications Manager

About the role

A leading NGO based in Lekki, Lagos, is hiring a Brand & Communications Manager through eRecruiter. The role partners with the Head of Communications to activate and manage brand building, PR housekeeping and corporate communications, internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Head of Communications on brand strategies and initiatives, plug brand and PR gaps, and coordinate brand activation programmes
• Create channels to showcase the organisation's values, impact and events, and support the comms team with evergreen content
• Develop a PR strategy for the organisation and its subsidiaries, including media pitches, release writing, event management and follow-up on features
• Pitch quarterly media features on local, regional and international platforms and maintain relationships with media outside the organisation
• Manage the annual PR budget, run PR events and initiatives, and set up crisis management plans
• Ensure brand alignment and compliance across touchpoints, work with HR on employer branding, and manage audio-visual assets and brand shoots

Required profile

• First degree from a reputable university with a minimum of 2:1
• Post-graduate degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations/Public Affairs or a related discipline is advantageous
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in brand management or communications roles
• Track record of owning brand strategy and execution, and of enforcing brand guidelines
• Experience managing a cross-functional team in a brand, marketing or publicity role
• Experience working with media (press) stakeholders
