Branch Manager

About the role

MCO Penny Limited is seeking a full‑time Branch Manager to lead its Abuja office. You will be responsible for driving loan growth, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring an excellent customer experience in a fast‑moving micro‑lending environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach branch staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Coordinate loan processing, review and approve applications within delegated authority.
• Manage the branch’s loan portfolio, monitor credit performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Set and achieve sales targets, develop strategies to attract and retain customers.
• Prepare operational and financial reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to improve branch performance and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a branch or team setting, including people management and conflict resolution.
• Strong credit and lending knowledge, with experience in loan appraisal, risk assessment and portfolio management.
• Excellent customer service and relationship‑building abilities.
• Demonstrated sales and business‑development skills, especially in a local market.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Previous experience in microfinance, banking or lending operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• High ethical standards and commitment to responsible lending.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office and financial software tools.
• Familiarity with loan management or core banking systems (advantageous).
