About the role
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our team at Crossect Development Services in Abuja. The role involves managing financial records, supporting project budgets, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting and financial records, processing payments, receipts, invoices and expenses.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and assist with cash‑flow management and forecasting.
- Support project budgeting, monitor expenditures against approved budgets and highlight significant variances.
- Assist with payroll, statutory payments, procurement and vendor payment processes.
- Provide documentation for internal and external audits and strengthen financial controls.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in accounting, finance or financial administration.
- Professional accounting qualification or progress toward one (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities with a high level of confidentiality.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with accounting or financial management software.
