Blocks Production Officer – Manufacturing & Machinery

About the role

The Blocks Production Officer will assist the Production Officer in managing daily manufacturing operations for Mshel building blocks and related machinery. This position ensures production schedules are met, quality standards are upheld, and equipment runs efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Production Officer in leading the manufacturing team and overseeing the entire production process.
• Help develop and implement production schedules to satisfy customer demand and project timelines.
• Monitor production activities, identify workflow improvements, and boost productivity and quality.
• Assist in applying quality control measures to guarantee products meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for rapid resolution.
• Provide training on operating procedures and safety protocols for production staff.
• Analyze production data and report key performance indicators to the Production Officer.
• Conduct routine machinery checks and promptly report faults.
• Collaborate with purchasing and inventory departments to align production needs.
• Recommend process enhancements to increase overall operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in block production and machinery troubleshooting.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
