Banking Relationship Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Banking Relationship Manager to drive new business and manage loan portfolios in Abuja. The role focuses on expanding revenue, building client relationships, and ensuring sound credit practices within the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
• Generate leads and acquire loan and investment business.
• Implement business development and marketing strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Assess creditworthiness of potential clients and recommend appropriate credit facilities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals to attract new clients.
• Monitor emerging market trends and contribute to growth strategies.
• Oversee loan portfolios to ensure timely repayments and minimal defaults.
• Research new markets, products, and partnership opportunities.
• Monitor accounts under management and apply sound credit judgment to minimize non‑performing loans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and credit management within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment and financial products.
• Proven track record of achieving business development targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Analytical mindset with data‑driven decision‑making skills.
