Bancassurance Officer – Insurance Sales

About the role

The Bancassurance Officer will be based in Lagos and work directly with partner bank branches to promote and sell a range of insurance products. You will act as the bridge between the bank’s customers and Heirs Insurance Group, ensuring customers receive suitable coverage and a smooth onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and present appropriate insurance solutions.
• Achieve sales targets by generating new business and cross‑selling to existing bank customers.
• Maintain strong relationships with bank staff and provide regular product training.
• Handle basic policy inquiries, support onboarding, and assist with policy servicing.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• Prepare periodic reports on sales performance and market feedback.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of insurance products and the ability to explain features clearly.
• Solid finance and analytical abilities to understand customer financial needs.
• Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build long‑term relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in bancassurance, banking, or insurance sales is highly advantageous.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory and ethical standards.
