Backend Development Tutor (Node.js & TypeScript)

About the role

I-Swipe Tech ICT Academy is looking for an experienced Backend Development Tutor to lead a 2‑month intensive programme focused on Node.js and TypeScript. You will guide students through practical, project‑based lessons that enable them to design, build, test, and deploy backend applications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on lessons covering Node.js, TypeScript, RESTful APIs and database integration.
• Create and supervise real‑world projects, exercises and assignments.
• Provide clear explanations of complex concepts for beginner and intermediate learners.
• Mentor students, assess their work and give constructive feedback.
• Maintain a supportive learning environment throughout the full 2‑month period.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Good understanding of backend development, RESTful API design and security.
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Previous teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create practical exercises and evaluate student performance.
• Commitment to the entire 2‑month training schedule.
