Backend C#.NET Engineer II

About the role

Cavista Technologies is looking for an experienced C# Backend Engineer to build secure, scalable, high-performing financial solutions. You will design, develop and maintain the backend services and APIs that power fintech products, digital payments and customer experiences, working closely with product, frontend engineering, QA and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Build and optimize high-performance APIs, microservices and backend systems for fintech products.
• Develop solutions for payment processing, transaction management, reconciliations, settlements and financial reporting.
• Take part in architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, documented code, conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance, scalability and security.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Implement backend controls supporting PCI-DSS and secure handling of sensitive input fields, and ensure consent flows and data collection comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of fintech experience.
