Back End Developer

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Back End Developer to join our Lagos team on a hybrid basis. You will design, build and maintain the server‑side components that power Digiline’s value‑added service platform for multiple mobile network operators.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable server‑side logic, APIs and database structures.
• Write clean, efficient and secure code while integrating with various MNO systems.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, product managers and other stakeholders to deliver robust features.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement practices.

Required profile

• Strong background in back‑end web development and software engineering.
• Solid understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming principles.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language or framework (e.g., Node.js, Java, C#, Python, PHP).
• Basic exposure to front‑end concepts to work effectively with UI teams.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams.
