About the role
The U.S. Embassy in Abuja is seeking an Assistant CLO Coordinator to support the Community Liaison Office (CLO). This position assists in enhancing the morale and well‑being of the American community in Nigeria by helping design and deliver programs and services.
Key responsibilities
- Identify the needs of the American community and propose appropriate solutions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor programs and resources that address identified needs.
- Advocate for American employees and their families on a range of issues.
- Manage communications, outreach, and information dissemination for the CLO.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute community events and activities.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of college or university studies.
- At least three years of professional experience in administration, office management, customer service, program management, or public policy.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. Foreign Service and federal government operations.
- Knowledge of program management principles and experience with program monitoring.
- In‑depth familiarity with U.S. Department of State community‑support programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong data‑collection and report‑writing skills.
