Assistant Chef

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Assistant Chef to support our kitchen team in Gwarinpa, Abuja. You will help prepare quality meals, maintain smooth daily operations, and ensure high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, seasoning, and portioning.
• Follow recipes and food preparation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Monitor supplies and report items that need replenishment.
• Support the Chef during busy service periods.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
