Area Sales Manager – Makurdi

About the role

The Area Sales Manager (Makurdi) will lead sales activities for OrchidSphere in Benue State, Nigeria. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on expanding market presence, driving revenue, and strengthening customer relationships within the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales plans, set targets and monitor performance against objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, distributors and retailers to increase market penetration.
• Supervise and motivate field sales teams, conduct market visits and track competitor activity.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and provide feedback to senior management.
• Coordinate promotional activities and ensure effective execution of sales strategies.
• Support customer service initiatives to improve client satisfaction and retention.

Required profile

• Proven sales and business development experience, preferably in FMCG or retail.
• Strong territory management, target setting and pipeline management abilities.
• Excellent relationship‑building, negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with experience in market analysis, forecasting and reporting.
• Leadership experience supervising field sales personnel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Benue State, Nigeria.
