Area Phone Business Manager – Tafawa Balewa

About the role

The Area Phone Business Manager will lead PayGo phone sales in the Tafawa Balewa region, building and managing a network of commission‑based agents. You will translate Sun King’s phone business strategy into on‑the‑ground results, ensuring strong sales performance, high repayment quality, and disciplined inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and train new agents, and convert existing Sun King agents into phone‑selling partners.
• Ensure agents achieve Litmos Phase 1 certification within two weeks and conduct bi‑weekly coaching sessions.
• Drive monthly unit targets, monitor agent productivity, and apply micro‑incentives to boost performance.
• Oversee portfolio quality, coach agents on customer onboarding, and follow up on defaulting customers to minimise repossessions.
• Maintain regular field contact with agents, track exit reasons, and implement retention actions and recognition programs.
• Manage agent stock levels, perform monthly audits, reconcile inventory, and report stock movements accurately.
• Submit weekly compliance reports, adhere to Sun King policies, and enforce zero tolerance for unethical practices.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in a business‑related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on field sales experience.
• Experience with PayGo, device financing, or agent‑network models (solar experience a plus).
• Deep knowledge of the Tafawa Balewa territory, both urban and rural.

• Litmos learning platform certification (Phase 1).
