Area Business Manager – Direct Solar Sales (Gwarzo, Kano State)

About the role

The Area Business Manager will lead sales, collections and distribution for Sun King’s EasyBuy solar products in Gwarzo, Kano State. You will build and supervise a network of Energy Officers, ensuring rapid and sustainable growth of direct distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and retain at least 40 Energy Officers using local influencers.
• Provide daily coaching on sales, collections, product knowledge, inventory and logistics.
• Conduct weekly field visits, assist with the first five sales of each officer and resolve operational issues.
• Drive joint field activities such as night activations, market visits and community gatherings to boost sales.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales and collection targets set by the Regional Business Manager.
• Monitor collection performance, coach officers on follow‑ups and manage repossessions when necessary.
• Track competitor activity and protect Sun King’s market position.
• Ensure world‑class customer service, resolving issues within 24 hours.

Required profile

• Degree in Business or equivalent with at least 3 years of hands‑on sales experience.
• Strong computer proficiency, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Extensive customer‑care experience and ability to innovate.
• Excellent planning, organizing and relationship‑building skills.
• Knowledge of the local territory and ability to motivate a large field team.
