Accounts/Finance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounts/Finance Officer to join our dynamic team in Abuja. The role supports sound financial management and investment operations through accurate reporting, ledger maintenance and cash‑flow monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Generate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly fund/portfolio valuation reports.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and periodic financial reports for management.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Conduct financial and economic data analysis to support investment decisions.
• Monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and manage payments and receipts.
• Prepare tax schedules and statutory remittances while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and assist with internal and external audits.
• Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate control measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Good understanding of capital markets and financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
