About the role
We are looking for an Accounting/Inventory Assistant to support both the finance and stock management functions of a leading renewable energy and power systems firm in Nigeria. The role offers exposure to a fast‑growing sector and the chance to develop practical skills in accounting, ERP systems and inventory control.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, receipts, payments and reconciling discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate purchase, supplier, sales and customer records and support monthly depreciation entries.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts and assist in periodic audits.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform regular stock counts, reconcile movements and handle returns, exchanges and damaged goods.
- Process purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers and generate periodic stock reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory filing requirements.
Required profile
- OND/HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Tally or Peachtree.
- Understanding of stock valuation methods, especially FIFO.
