Accounting Manager

About the role

The client, a manufacturing and food processing company, is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead financial operations, cost management and reporting. The role ensures accurate records, strong internal controls and compliance with Nigerian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions including AP, AR, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and monitor production costing, inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensure statutory compliance and maintain effective financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ICAN or ACCA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2‑3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting and Nigerian tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
