Accounting & Inventory Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting & Inventory Assistant to support the finance and stock management functions of a leading renewable energy firm in Nigeria. The role offers exposure to both financial processing and inventory control, providing a solid foundation for a career in accounting and supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, receipts and payments.
• Maintain purchase, supplier, sales and customer records and reconcile discrepancies.
• Support monthly and annual depreciation entries and generate financial summaries for management.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and periodic internal audits.
• Monitor inventory levels, record stock movements and conduct regular inventory counts.
• Process purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers and handle returns, exchanges and damaged goods.
• Prepare periodic stock reports and assist with inventory reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and relevant regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• OND, HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting, finance or inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
