About the role

This internship offers a foundational opportunity to develop essential accounting and financial control competencies by supporting the daily financial operations within HumAngle's shared-services framework. It bridges academic theory with real-world practice, giving participants a comprehensive understanding of the financial lifecycle in a professional setting while contributing to the organization's fiscal integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Record and categorize all financial transactions accurately.
• Process payment documentation such as invoices, receipts and expense claims.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash holdings and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain digital and physical financial records in strict order.
• Aid in accounts payable and receivable workflows.
• Help prepare financial schedules, reports and preliminary analysis.
• Learn applicable accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Manage grant and project-related financial documentation as assigned.
• Assist in internal and external audits and financial reviews.
• Keep sensitive financial data confidential and accurate.
• Become proficient with relevant accounting and financial management software and take on more responsibility as skills grow.
