Accountant – Order Operations & Financial Reporting

About the role

Omacart is looking for an Accountant to own the financial processes that support order‑level activities across its grocery‑shopping platform. You will ensure accurate recording of revenue, costs, commissions, refunds and vendor payments while providing insight for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals and reconciliations for month‑end and year‑end close.
• Manage revenue recognition, deferred revenue, COGS, inventory movements and product replacements.
• Handle shopper and partner commission accounting, payable accruals and commission adjustments.
• Process and verify vendor invoices, code expenses and maintain partner payment records.
• Produce financial reports, P&L summaries and performance analyses, monitoring gross margins and operational costs.
• Support audits, tax reviews and maintain accounting controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in e‑commerce, retail or online marketplaces.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, COGS, commissions and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite or Oracle ERP.
• Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Looker or other BI tools.
