Accountant – Manufacturing Finance Specialist

About the role

The company is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage financial operations within its polymer packaging manufacturing business. You will be responsible for accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and reconciliations.
• Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets and financial forecasts.
• Oversee inventory accounting and ensure proper valuation of raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished goods.
• Conduct cost accounting activities such as product costing and variance analysis.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory tax returns and regulatory reports.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to management.
• Collaborate with production, procurement and operations teams to improve cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in polymer or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail, integrity and strong organisational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
