Accountant – Manufacturing & Building Materials

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial accounting, reporting and compliance for its manufacturing and building material operations in Ajaokuta, Kogi State.

Key responsibilities

• Record all financial transactions in the ERP system and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly management reports and support inter‑company reconciliations.
• Verify supplier invoices, obtain approvals, prepare payment instructions and maintain vendor payable summaries.
• Prepare and remit VAT, WHT, PAYE and pension schedules and support internal and external audits.
• Participate in monthly physical stock counts and reconcile inventory with production records.
• Assist with ERP migration, perform system reconciliations between Tally and eResource ERP and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field; member of ICAN.
• 4–8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial reporting and internal controls.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Tally, eResource ERP).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
