Accountant

About the role

Donbaki Oil and Gas is looking for an Accountant to join its finance team in Abuja. The role involves handling financial reporting, bookkeeping, tax compliance and supporting audit activities while helping the company manage its financial performance. You will work closely with management to provide accurate financial analysis and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare core financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
• Maintain daily bookkeeping records, manage ledgers and reconcile bank statements.
• Calculate and file tax returns in line with local and federal regulations.
• Conduct internal audits to identify errors, prevent fraud and prepare for external audits.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and cost‑control initiatives.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.

Required profile

• BSc degree in a relevant field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency with computer operations.
• Female candidates only.
• Strong attention to detail.
