Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will maintain accurate books of accounts and support the preparation of statutory, group and annual financial statements, providing a clear view of the company’s financial position.

Key responsibilities

• Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
• Prepare and file tax returns
• Enter accounting data into business logs and prepare GAAP journal entries
• Calculate and document accruals
• Perform bank reconciliations and code cash receipts and transfers
• Maintain fixed assets records
• Prepare balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations
• Analyse monthly profit & loss variances and propose journal entries
• Execute year‑end close activities and support audits
• Liaise with accounts receivable, accounts payable, finance, IT and other teams
• Identify revenue initiatives and recommend improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of general accounting experience
• Fintech experience, professional certifications or ICAN membership are a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables, etc.)
• GAAP knowledge and journal entry preparation
• Account reconciliation
