Accountant – Hospitality & Catering

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join Winnyz Catering’s finance team in Lagos. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting strategic decisions within a fast‑growing hospitality business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records for all transactions, including daily income, expenses and bank movements.
• Prepare core financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Assist in budgeting, financial planning and variance analysis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to sustain healthy cash flow.
• Process payroll, statutory deductions and remittances.
• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with Nigerian regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Utilise accounting software to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and Nigerian financial regulations.
