Accountant – Healthcare (Lagos)

About the role

Our client, a reputable healthcare organization in Lagos, is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join the finance team. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, fund accountability, and compliance with internal controls and healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record all financial transactions in the accounting system and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Support the Head of Accounts in producing management accounts and financial statements.
• Ensure proper receipt, allocation and reconciliation of funds, bank statements and cash accounts.
• Maintain revenue assurance, internal policy adherence and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with budgeting, expense monitoring, variance analysis and asset‑liability tracking.
• Collaborate with other departments, provide documentation for audits and strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in healthcare.
• ICAN certification (mandatory).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

What we offer

• Competitive monthly salary of ₦500,000 – ₦600,000 (negotiable based on experience).
