Accountant – Corporate Finance

About the role

The Accountant will join Mabiz Global Nigeria Limited in Port Harcourt, supporting daily financial operations and reporting for a range of corporate clients. This full‑time, on‑site position involves preparing statements, managing ledgers, and ensuring compliance with Nigerian accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and general ledger entries.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, and perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring, and basic financial forecasting.
• Support tax computations, filings, and compliance with local tax regulations.
• Contribute to audit preparation, documentation, and post‑audit follow‑up.
• Provide clear financial explanations to internal stakeholders and clients, and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years post‑NYSC experience in accounting, taxation, or audit.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Bookkeeping, general ledger management and financial statement preparation.
• Tax computation and compliance knowledge.
• Audit support and financial analysis capabilities.
