Warehouse Lead

About the role

Westpaq International is seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to manage safe and efficient warehouse operations in Port Harcourt. The role oversees receiving, storage, inventory control, material handling, and dispatch while coordinating closely with project teams, procurement, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and schedule warehouse associates, delegating daily tasks to meet productivity targets.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Oversee accurate loading and unloading of freight and coordinate staging of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Enforce safety regulations, conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
• Maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and promote safe operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of warehouse management experience, including offshore oil and gas logistics and warehousing.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking.
• Competence in operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
