Truck Driver

About the role

We are looking for a safety‑conscious, reliable Truck Driver to transport finished goods to customers and designated locations. The role involves ensuring vehicles are well‑maintained, delivery schedules are met, and all activities comply with company policies and road safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Safely transport and distribute finished goods to customers and other designated locations.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical faults.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean, roadworthy, and compliant with safety requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise truck assistants during loading, transportation, and off‑loading.
• Review, verify, and execute delivery instructions accurately.
• Plan efficient delivery routes in collaboration with the Fleet Officer to optimise time and fuel usage.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, road expenses and other transportation documentation.
• Report accidents, traffic violations, delays or other incidents promptly according to company procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE/WAEC or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Class D Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• 5–10 years of experience driving light or heavy‑duty trucks.
• Strong commitment to road safety and good knowledge of Nigerian traffic laws.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
• High level of integrity, accountability and professionalism.
