Transport Executive - West

About the role

The Transport Executive will ensure safe and efficient movement of cement from plants or depots to customer locations, delivering exceptional service while managing transporters and drivers to meet key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all operational activities within the transport function to guarantee right‑time product movement from any shipping point to any delivery location.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to execute strategic transportation plans and logistics objectives.
• Manage day‑to‑day fleet availability, driver readiness, and third‑party logistics providers (LSPs) to ensure product distribution to final consumers.
• Evaluate contracted LSP performance against agreed KPIs and act as the single point of contact for delivery issues.
• Secure transport capacity, monitor shipments in real time using GPS/IVMS, and provide spot‑on solutions within authorized cost structures.
• Drive transportation initiatives to achieve cost‑saving targets and develop LSP operational capabilities.
• Prepare data‑driven reports and dashboards tracking KPIs such as OTIF, lead time, and cost savings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience with demonstrated leadership and operational expertise.
• Strong organizing, planning, and problem‑solving abilities.
