Technical Support Specialist – Fire Detection Systems

About the role

The Technical Support Specialist will deliver high‑quality remote support, product expertise, and training for Kidde Commercial and GST fire detection systems across Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, and Uganda. Working closely with regional sales, engineering, and product teams, you will ensure system performance, customer satisfaction, and capability development within the partner network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support to customers, distributors, and internal teams via phone, email, and online platforms.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues on fire detection systems.
• Support system commissioning, configuration, and fault‑finding activities.
• Escalate complex technical issues to global product and engineering teams when needed.
• Offer technical guidance on system design, application, and compliance for Kidde Commercial and GST fire alarm products.
• Assist sales teams with technical input during customer engagements and solution development.
• Deliver technical training to customers, partners, and internal staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical support for fire detection or alarm systems.
• Strong communication skills for remote interaction with customers and partners across multiple African markets.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
