Technical Security Coordinator

About the role

Dangote Industries Limited is looking for a Technical Security Coordinator based at its Head Office in Lagos. The role coordinates the implementation, maintenance and effectiveness of technical security systems across the organisation, including surveillance, access control and alarm systems, and supports risk assessments, incident investigations and recommendations to protect personnel, assets, facilities and information.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the installation, maintenance, monitoring and upgrade of CCTV, access control, alarm and other technical security systems.
• Conduct regular technical security risk assessments and identify system vulnerabilities and operational gaps.
• Investigate technical security incidents and breaches and recommend corrective measures.
• Develop and implement technical security procedures, standards and controls.
• Monitor the effectiveness and availability of security equipment across operational locations.
• Provide technical support and specifications for the procurement and deployment of security equipment.
• Support security risk management, emergency response and business continuity activities.
• Coordinate technical security activities with Plant Security teams and internal stakeholders.
• Train and guide security personnel on the use of technical security systems.
• Maintain records and prepare periodic reports on systems, risks, incidents and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company security procedures, standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Security Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience, including 4 years in technical security, security systems, risk management or related operations.
• Practical experience with CCTV, electronic access control, alarm systems and other security technologies.
• Military or paramilitary background and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ or CEH are an added advantage.

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong planning and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to explain technical security risks to non-technical stakeholders and to handle confidential information with integrity.
