Technical Sales Representative

About the role

Scalein is hiring a full-time Technical Sales Representative in Lagos. The role combines technical sales with customer support: meeting or exceeding sales targets, providing technical expertise to customers, building strong customer relationships and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead generation: find new prospective business clients and build long-term professional relationships.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations, and provide product training and knowledge sharing with customers.
• Analyze customer needs, sales data and market trends, and stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity and market needs.
• Negotiate deals and close sales effectively.
• Gather market feedback, competition intelligence and industry trends.
• Manage orders, ensure timely delivery and resolve issues.
• Provide regular sales reports and updates to management.

Required profile

• Minimum of Agricultural Education (NCE).
• A degree in Agricultural Science is an added advantage.
• In-depth understanding of products or services, including features, benefits and application.

Required skills

• Sales negotiation and closing.
• Customer relationship building and lead generation.
• Market analysis and reporting.

Performance is measured against KPIs such as achieving 100% of sales targets, increasing sales growth by 10% year on year, expanding the customer base by 2%, delivering accurate and timely sales reports, and reaching a zero balance at the end of each cropping season.
