Tech Project Manager

About the role

Kenex Konsults International is hiring a full-time Tech Project Manager based in Lagos, Marina. The role covers the entire life cycle of technology projects, from concept through development, testing, deployment and delivery, working with clients, developers, designers and QA testers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, initiate and manage technology projects, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones and resource needs.
• Gather and document project requirements with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate software developers, UI/UX designers, product teams, QA testers and other project personnel.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, task lists and progress trackers; monitor progress against timelines and quality standards.
• Identify risks, dependencies and bottlenecks and put mitigation plans in place.
• Facilitate meetings, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives, applying Agile, Scrum or Waterfall as needed.
• Track performance against milestones, budgets and KPIs, manage change requests and communicate status to management, clients and the team.
• Ensure proper documentation of requirements, decisions, workflows, reports and deliverables, and coordinate testing, UAT and issue resolution.
• Manage client communication, handover, implementation, training and post-deployment support, and ensure compliance with company procedures, contracts and data security requirements.

Required profile

• HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
• Proven project management experience, preferably in a technology company or software development environment.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycles, digital products, web and mobile applications or IT services.
• Professional certification such as PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2 or Scrum Master is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp or Microsoft Project.
• Strong planning, organization, time management, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
