Team Lead Security (Pre-Opening)

About the role

Hyatt Regency Lagos Ikeja is looking for a Team Lead Security with strong safety knowledge to join its pre-opening team, expected to open by the end of 2026. The role supervises daily security operations and ensures the safety of guests, colleagues, visitors and company assets, leading the security team and promoting a culture of safety.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Security Officers, conduct regular patrols and inspections, and monitor CCTV, access control and security equipment
• Investigate security incidents, accidents and breaches and prepare detailed reports; manage lost and found procedures
• Promote compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, lead fire safety checks and ensure emergency exits, evacuation routes and safety signage are compliant
• Participate in risk assessments, coordinate safety awareness and emergency preparedness programmes, and lead emergency response during fires, medical emergencies, security incidents or natural disasters
• Lead, coach and develop Security Officers, prepare duty rosters, hold team briefings and performance evaluations, and support internal and external audits
• Maintain accurate records and prepare daily, weekly and monthly security and safety reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, HND or equivalent
• Professional certification in Security Management or Occupational Health & Safety is an advantage
• Minimum of 3-5 years of security experience, including supervisory responsibilities
• Experience in hospitality, hotel or service industry preferred
• Experience conducting risk assessments, audits and accident investigations
