Talent Acquisition Specialist
SPIRO · État de Lagos
Job description
About the role
We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist who owns the full recruitment cycle end‑to‑end and knows how to find great people before they start looking. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers across the business, build pipelines for hard‑to‑fill roles, and ensure every candidate experiences a process that reflects well on our brand.
Key responsibilities
- Own full‑cycle recruitment for a portfolio of roles across functions and levels, from intake to offer acceptance and handover to onboarding.
- Lead proactive sourcing using advanced Boolean search, X‑ray techniques, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, niche job boards and professional communities to engage passive talent.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, build realistic candidate profiles, align on timelines and advise on market conditions and compensation.
- Screen and assess candidates through structured, competency‑based interviews and provide clear, documented feedback.
- Deliver an excellent candidate experience with timely communication, transparency and respect at every stage.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and critical roles to reduce time‑to‑hire.
- Keep the ATS accurate and use recruitment data (time‑to‑fill, source effectiveness, pipeline conversion, offer acceptance rate) to report progress and improve processes.
- Represent the company at career fairs, universities and industry events, shaping job adverts that attract the right profiles and supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with a proven track record of full‑cycle recruitment in an in‑house, agency or hybrid environment.
- Experience working in fast‑paced settings such as startups, scale‑ups, high‑growth companies or recruitment agencies, managing multiple open roles simultaneously.
- Strong ability to influence and advise hiring managers, including constructive push‑back when needed.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and written skills, with a data‑aware mindset.
- Highly organised, capable of reporting on recruitment metrics and continuously improving processes.
Required skills
- Advanced Boolean and X‑ray search techniques for passive candidate sourcing.
- Proficient use of LinkedIn Recruiter and other niche sourcing platforms (e.g., GitHub, specialized job boards).
- Hands‑on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and maintaining accurate candidate data.
- Data analysis and reporting on recruitment metrics such as time‑to‑fill and source effectiveness.
- Ability to create and manage talent pipelines for recurring and critical roles.
