Supply Chain Excellence and Systems Lead

About the role

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE, a 650,000 bpd refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, is hiring a Supply Chain Excellence and Systems Lead reporting to the Head, Supply Chain Excellence & Systems. The role covers supply chain planning, inventory, logistics, warehousing, systems, analytics and process excellence, with no procurement or sourcing duties.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and standardize supply chain frameworks, lead Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement, and benchmark against global refining and petrochemical best practice.
• Act as Business Process Owner for supply chain systems, optimize SAP and drive digital transformation, including SAP S/4HANA WMS, TMS, planning systems, control towers and AI-enabled planning.
• Build performance dashboards, KPI governance and executive reports, and monitor inventory, warehouse and logistics performance.
• Optimize inventory parameters (safety stock, reorder levels, min-max, critical spare parts) and reduce excess, obsolete and slow-moving stock.
• Improve warehouse standards, productivity, accuracy and digitization, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor inbound and outbound flows, port and terminal logistics, and establish logistics performance measurement systems.
• Set governance for master data, data warehouse, data logistics and planning data, and lead cleansing and quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with supply chain policies, support internal and external audits, and develop team capabilities through training and coaching.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or similar.
• 7-10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management or heavy manufacturing.
• Professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma, APICS, CILSCM) is an advantage; Master's/MBA is an added advantage.
• Experience managing multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders, and familiarity with ERP systems and CMMS platforms.

Required skills

• SAP S/4HANA, SAP MM, SAP EWM/WM, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, advanced Excel.
• Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, business process reengineering, data governance and KPI design.
