Superintendent Pharmacist

About the role

The Superintendent Pharmacist will lead the pharmacy team at ValueMart Discount City Market, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services to customers in Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day pharmacy operations and ensure adherence to all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Maintain all required licenses, permits, and regulatory registrations for the premises.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure compliance with controlled medicines regulations, accurate record‑keeping, and conduct regular audits of controlled drug inventories.
• Supervise the safe and accurate dispensing of prescription medicines and provide professional pharmaceutical advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Manage medicine procurement, supplier relationships, inventory levels, and minimise stock shortages and wastage.
• Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and vaccines, including temperature control.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 48 months (4 years) of experience in a similar supervisory pharmacy role.
