Strategy & Operations Generalist (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a remote Strategy & Operations Generalist to run the back‑office functions for US startup founders. You will ensure HR, payroll, onboarding, compliance, documentation and recurring workflows operate smoothly while also driving internal strategic projects that improve how our own company works.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end client back‑office operations, including HR, payroll, onboarding/offboarding, compliance coordination, documentation, dashboards and urgent requests.
• Lead cross‑functional internal initiatives such as SOPs, system design, dashboards and operational improvements from scoping to delivery.
• Identify and fix unclear workflows, rewrite messy documentation, streamline repeatable tasks and propose smarter approaches.
• Communicate clearly with founders and internal teams, providing concise updates, risk alerts and structured information.
• Operate with high ownership, proactively addressing issues before they become problems.

Required profile

• Strong sense of ownership and autonomy, thriving in a remote‑first, high‑autonomy environment.
• Excellent communication skills with emotional intelligence, able to deliver clear TL;DR updates.
• Proactive problem‑solver who enjoys improving processes and reducing chaos.
