About the role
The Special Assistant supports the CEO and the UN Special Representative for Sustainable Energy for All (SRSG) within the Executive Office of UNOPS. Based in Lagos, the role ensures smooth executive workflows, prepares concise policy briefs, and assists in coordinating high‑profile international missions and strategic projects linked to the Sustainable Energy for All agenda.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily executive workflows, calendars, and correspondence for the CEO/SRSG.
- Coordinate and follow up on high‑level stakeholder engagements and official missions.
- Synthesize complex policy documents into clear briefing notes for senior leadership.
- Support the planning and execution of special strategic projects across the SEforALL global agenda.
- Facilitate communication between the CEO’s office, the Chief of Staff, the Deputy CEO, and the Executive Management Committee.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
Required profile
- Entry‑level professional with up to two years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
- Experience or interest in sustainable energy, climate, and development initiatives is advantageous.
