Solar Technician / Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking a skilled Solar Technician/Engineer to support the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems across Lagos and Abuja. You will work on site, ensuring safe and efficient deployment of solar solutions while adhering to local codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal panel placement.
• Install and wire solar PV systems, including inverters and batteries.
• Connect systems to the electrical grid and perform safety testing.
• Diagnose and repair faults in solar systems and components.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of installations and service calls.
• Train other engineering personnel.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years (36 months) of experience in solar design, installation, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and ethical practice.
• Willingness to grow and learn new technologies.

Required skills

• AutoCAD.
• Solar PV system installation.
• System testing and maintenance.
• Tool handling and safety protocols.
